New boys BMP Paribas along with Human Capital have joined with Tradition, PVM who were last year's winners of the Trafigura Bowl and ACM Shipping, the losing Bowl finalists, in all signing-up to participate in this year's Contact Sevens Competition.
Adam Treherne, Captain and Team Manager for ACM Shipping said " We are absolutely delighted to once again be participating in the RCUK Charity Sevens. Last year was a really great day. We played some very good rugby, losing narrowly to PVM in the Bowl final. Having the opportunity to be commented upon by the great Ian Robertson was an unique experience. The team then capped off the day with a very enjoyable dinner and dancing to a great live band, who I understand have been asked back this year by popular demand. The RCUK 7s was very well organised and extremely professional".
Event Manager Lisa Casado said she was absolutely delighted that so many teams from last year had re-signed and it was great, in this still gloomy economic times that so many companies were stepping up to the mark in their support of headline sponsor Trafigura and their chosen charity Demelza House Hospice for Children.
