Afrinvest

Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited (“Afrinvest”) is a management majority-owned investment banking firm with a focus on West Africa.

The firm was initially founded as Securities Transactions & Trust Company Limited (“Sectrust”) in 1995.  At the time, Sectrust was organised as an integrated securities brokerage, asset management and investment research firm with an enviable reputation in the Nigerian financial services industry.  In 2005, Afrinvest International made an equity investment in Sectrust which led to Sectrust changing its name to Afrinvest.

Today, Afrinvest is active in three principal areas: Investment Banking, Securities Trading and Wealth Management.  Afrinvest is regulated by Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission as an issuing house, underwriter, broker-dealer and portfolio manager.  The firm is a dealing member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and an A+ rated asset manager.
