The Coaches

Whilst the most important objective is for everyone to have fun, one of the overarching goals of the RCUK Charity Sevens is to help players improve their game and skill sets. Accordingly we have been very fortunate to have secured the support of a fantastic line-up of some of the very best talent in the game to coach the Contact Sevens teams, provide advice on the day and to hopefully help celebrate the victory in the evening!

Set out below are details of the coaches who have agreed to support this fantastic event and help ensure the teams have a truly unique rugby experience with two pre-event, one-on-one coaching sessions.

Team Captains can either at registration automatically secure the services of one of these guys by opting to select a team package. Alternatively if the Team Captain wants to secure the services of a particular Coach, then he can place a bid for that Coach. However that Coach is also available to other teams and the bidding process begins... Remember it’s all for a fantastic cause! For more information about the bidding process please click here. Training t-shirts, bibs, balls, water bottles and cones are all provided as part of this team package.

Having an elite coach is not strictly mandatory and we would actively encourage all teams to go the little extra to engage one. For those teams who don’t want to opt in, there is a mandatory ring-fenced donation of £500 to Demelza Hospice for Children which goes towards buying a “coach” minibus to take children on exciting days out.
